2023 Grand Marshal, Mr. Richard Cerruti
“Raised just down the hill in Troutdale Richard graduated from Reynolds High School in 1961. He then joined the Oregon National Guard and married the love of his life, Viki. Shortly after marrying they purchased a piece of property in Corbett knowing it was the place that they wanted to call home. Eleven years later in 1977 they built their forever home here on Mershon Rd where they raised their 3 kids, Nicholas, Angelina, and Mario.
Richard worked as a mechanic at the ship yards by day and had his own diesel mechanic business in the evenings. He bought Pounder Oil Service in 1980 with his brother Jerry which they still own today. Richard loved delivering the fuel and getting to know the local customers. If they had an interesting piece of equipment or an old car he could chat them up for hours. While a quiet member of the community he is always someone you can count on to help.
Today Richard is mostly retired but hasn’t slowed down. You will still find him driving one of the tankers here and there, raising his beef cattle, camping with his family, and enjoying his 7 grandchildren.” – Written by Mr. Richard Cerruti’s daughter Angelina Cerruti Rickert
